Did they give her any wax to put over any brackets that are really rubbing? You can buy it, but our dr. always gave us little packs of it.
It can really help with the rubbing problem until she gets adjusted.

Be ready for her to be really sore once the wires go in. Some pain reliever (Advil, Tylenol) and milkshakes will probably be in order for 2 or 3 days. At least that was our experience both times around.

Good luck with the play!

Here's hoping she adjusts to them okay before the play. Braces are no fun, but I will tell you that our son (who's been out of them for 5 1/2 years) recently saw a pre-orthonotia picture of himself and finally thanked us for making him get them.

You know they are forecasting a winter storm for the weekend.
I hope this is not going to be one of those years where the dreary, cold weather lasts until May and then it shoots up to 90.

Yorkies are so cute! It sounds like you are going to be very, very busy.
I well remember all the hours of sitting at the Little League field.
I hope you have a good check-up on Friday!

Oh, I so feel your pain! Our 13 YO daughter is the same way. This week for the first time ever she's even started sleeping with her bedroom door closed, so I can't even look in on her while she's asleep (and devoid of attitude). Luckily we've been through the teen years once already, albeit with a boy. By the time he went away to college, he'd turned into a great person that we would have loved to have kept at home.
